Safaricom is zero-rating websites that provide access to educational material. This has just reminded me of a neat trick we used in campus years when Orange had zero-rated some websites as well. While the details are hazzy, I remember we used a particular software that spoofed traffic to look like it came from that same website. That meant unlimited speeds and uncapped data for all of us. At a time where data was so expensive, it was like manna from heaven.
It was that link to Orange’s subscriber account, which we used to steal data.
