For those who follow tech news, we know that some time around Christmas last year (2016), Cyanogen OS closed its doors (after a low of in-house wrangles), which in turn meant that we could no longer enjoy CyanogenMod. Well, without going into the details, the team that worked at Cyanogen, including Cynaogen himself (Steve Kondik), promised not to let CyanogenMod die and so the Legacy lives on.
The CyanogenMod legacy continues as LineageOS. A clever name if you may ask me, as it signifies that is in the same lineage as its predecessor.
We have yet to see LineageOS official builds for supported smartphones, but I would like to know your thoughts on this sudden but much welcome change.
